The International Conference on Microelectronic Systems Education (MSE
2001) is dedicated to furthering undergraduate and graduate education in
designing and building innovative microelectronic systems.
The conference is held in the U.S. on odd years, and in Europe on even
years, when it is called the European Workshop on Microelectronics
Education. This conference provides an excellent opportunity for educators
and industry to work together to ensure continued excellence in the field
of microelectronic systems.
MSE 2001 will focus on the following topics:
- System-On-a-Chip, Mixed-Signal, and IP-based Design
- Custom, ASIC, and FPGA Design
- Library and CAD Tool Access
- Internet-based Tools
- Remote Learning
- Text Books for System Design
- Motivation through Contests and Competitions
- University/Industry Partnering Opportunities
- Producing Industry's Ideal New Hire
Conference Overview The first day of the conference will
include invited speakers, contributed papers, and two poster sessions with
buffet meals. The second day will include invited speakers and contributed
papers. The conference will close mid-day, so that registrants can take
advantage of the extensive exhibits at the Design Automation Conference,
held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Conference Hotel The meeting will be held at the Las Vegas
Hilton, 3000 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109
(www.hilton.com/hotels/LASLHHH/). Mention you are with DAC to receive the
