PSoC Express™ Professor’s Workshop

Technical Tutorial with Hands On Demo(s)

Abstract:

PSoC® is a mixed signal programmable system on a chip combining the
familiarity of a microcontroller, the programmability of an FPGA and
the capabilities of a mixed signal ASIC.

PSoC Express is a high level system design tool that automatically generates
a complete application ready to program into a PSoC device. This hands on
tutorial introduces PSoC Express, describes its usages and design flow with
illustrative examples. All attendees will receive a free CY3210-PSoC-EVAL1
development kit along with a mini programmer and the PSoC Express software.
If attendees would like to download the latest edition of PSoC Express,
they may do so by visiting Cypress and searching on “PSoC Express download”.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops to the tutorial.
We will also have CDs available at the conference.
No license is required to use PSoC Express.

This session is aimed at engineering professors from all disciplines that
require an element of electronic controls in the lab sections of the
subjects they teach. In addition to digital, analog and microcontroller
classes, other classes that can benefit with the addition of PSoC
to the curricula are: Robotics, Mechatronics, Biomedical, and Industrial Controls
to name just a few.
