Support for Further Publication

Authors of outstanding MSE papers will be encouraged to submit expanded versions of their papers to educational research journals such as IEEE Transactions on Education.

Because educational research journals have requirements for research and assessment that are unfamiliar to many MSE authors, the MSE 2011 program will include a Workshop on Educational Research Methods that will provide authors with guidance on how to conduct educational research, assess the effectiveness of new educational initiatives, and prepare manuscripts suitable for publcation in educational research journals.  Authors who complete this workshop will be given the opportunity to work with a mentor after the conference who will help guide them through this process of expanding their paper for further publication.

For more information regarding educational research, see these "Guidelines for Writing an  Educational Research Journal Article" and the Manuscript Guidelines for the IEEE Transactions on Education
